Seven reasons the Custom Leather Collar earns its place

A collar is the one piece a dog never takes off. These are the details that decide whether it lasts a season or a decade.

Most collars are bought on colour and replaced when the plating flakes. This one is built around three questions: does it stay legible, does it stay comfortable, and does it hold together.

Engraved into the metal, not printed onto it

Your dog's name and number are cut into a brushed plate fixed to the band. A printed tag fades at the first scratch and a hanging tag wear thin at the ring. This one still reads clearly after a winter of mud and road salt.

A lining that lies flat

Soft padding runs the full inner length of the band, so nothing presses and nothing rubs at the throat. The edges are turned and stitched, which is exactly where a cheaper collar begins to irritate.

Hardware with nothing sharp on it

The buckle and D-ring are zinc alloy, closed and polished at every edge. A dog who chews at the band meets smooth metal rather than a cut plate, which is the small decision that prevents a torn lip.

Materials chosen for the mouth

Non-toxic and BPA-free throughout, with colour fixed without harmful substances. Chew resistance is rated 4 of 5, so steady daily nibbling does not take the finish or leave anything behind.

Five sizes, measured on the neck

XS through XL, from 21 to 55 cm of neck girth, with the band widening as the size rises. A narrow band on a heavy neck concentrates every pull into a thin line, and width is the cheapest fix there is.

Five colours, chosen once

Black, brown, red, pink and navy. Each sits with a coat rather than competing with it, and the plate stays silver on all five so the engraving never loses contrast.

Room for two fingers

The band is designed to sit at the base of the neck with two fingers of clearance. The fit that keeps a dog comfortable is the same fit that keeps them in the collar, and it is the first thing we ask you to check.

Against a basic collar

The comparison is not about price per collar. It is about how many collars a year, and how much of the dog's comfort each one costs.

Seven reasons one lead covers the whole walk

One dog, one line, both hands free. A bungee takes the first pull, a belt bag carries what the walk needs, and a padded traffic handle brings your dog to your side at the kerb.
