Seven reasons the dual lead handles two dogs

Two dogs, two bungees, one belt. Each line gives on its own, and each carries two padded handles lined in mint, so a crossing stays a walk.

The belt sits at the hip with a padded mesh panel against the back and a reflective pouch at the front. From the D-rings on either side, two mirrored bungee lines run out to the dogs, each with its own pair of handles.

Two bungees that move apart

Each side is elastic in its own right, so one dog's lunge never arrives at the other dog's collar. Two dogs who stop at different moments stop without pulling each other through you.

A belt that carries the load

The back panel is wide, padded and faced with mesh, so the pull lands across the small of the back rather than on the hip bone. Both hands stay free for the gate, the coffee and the phone.

A pouch with two reflective bands

The front bag zips shut over treats, keys and bags, and two horizontal silver strips catch headlights at the height drivers look. It fixes to the belt at the D-rings and comes off when the weight is not wanted.

Two handles on each line

Every segment carries an upper loop for open pavement and a lower one for the moment it stops being open. Both are lined in mint fabric, stitched inside black webbing, so either dog can be brought to your side with one hand.

Matte black hardware, closed at the edges

Swivel snap hooks at the dogs, D-rings at the belt, adjustment sliders between. All of it in one matte black finish, turned and closed, so there is no plating to flake and nothing sharp for a mouth to find.

A thread that answers headlights

Reflective stitching runs the webbing of both lines and the face of the pouch. In a headlight it reads as two bright threads at ankle height, which is the height most drivers are not looking at.

Two dogs, no tangles

The segments are mirror images, each with a swivel at both ends. A dog who circles twice winds nothing around their own leg, and you are not re-clipping in the middle of a crossing.

Against two basic leads

Two basic leads feel like a workable arrangement until the first crossing. This is what changes.
